International Festival - The Theatre is a long-term knowledge intensive project merging architecture and performance initiated in collaboration between International Festival and Steirischer Herbst. The project intend to develop, construct and build a temporary full size theatre building which will tour over a three year period.

The project was initiated as a performance where the conditions and modes of production of architecture if emphasized in front of form. Simultaneously the territory of performance is expanded to include a multiplicity of activities passing meaning production from representation to doing.
